About Me

I’m Ruby Boyce, a surface designer and Illustrator from Edinburgh, Scotland.

I have over a decade of experience as a graphic designer and surface pattern designer. When working as a young graphic designer I was assigned a pattern design project and I was hooked. From that point on I began self-teaching using online tutorials and the rest is history! After a big life change, I pivoted my career from graphic design into full-time illustrator and surface designer. Since then, surface pattern design and illustration have become my true North Star and I feel very lucky to do something for a living that not only brings colour and joy into my life but also to others who enjoy my work.
